Automotive engineering is a branch of Vehicle engineering, incorporating elements of mechanical, electrical, electronic, software and safety engineering as applied to the design, manufacture and operation of automobiles, buses and trucks and their respective engineering subsystems. Automotive engineers are involved in almost every aspect of designing cars and trucks, from the initial concepts right through to manufacturing them. Medium Of Instruction:
The medium of instruction as well as that of examination is both English and Malayalam.
Admission: Month of July
The minimum qualification:   SSLC or equivalent (Passed or Failed).
Age: should not be below 14 years or above 25 years on 1st July of that academic year.( There will be a relaxation of three years in the upper age limit for scheduled caste candidates, for admission.)
Examination: Second year, in the month of June
